Transitioning to 100% Business E-books: The Case of Large University Business Collection

Abstract


The transformation of the e-book industry has been nothing less than extraordinary.  Similarly, the acceleration in academic distance learning programs has been remarkable.  The advantages of acquiring e-books for academic users have been enumerated in many ways and by many authors.  At our institution, availability, accessibility, acceptance by our patrons, and low foot print of e-books has provided a strong motivation for pursuing this new technology. This article describes how we are decisively moving toward the goal of achieving a 100% business e-book collection.
